Pirates place fifth overall at OEC match

PALM DESERT -- The Orange Coast College women's golf team took on desert temps and a tough Ironwood Golf Club on Wednesday, finishing fifth overall at this week's Orange Empire Conference matchup, hosted by College of the Desert.

DeLylah Collins was the low shooter for the Pirates, carding an 88, followed by Cathy Nguyen (94), Coco Fulton (95), Madison Keawe-Kimball (105) and Taylor Tuxford (111). 

The Pirates will be the host school for the next OEC contest, which takes place on Monday at the Costa Mesa Country Club (Mesa Linda course), beginning at 11 a.m.
