HUNTINGTON BEACH -- It was another battle between the Orange Coast College baseball team and the neighbors up the 405 freeway -- Golden West College -- and in the end, the Pirates overcame losing a late lead and claimed a 6-5, 10-inning win over the Rustlers on Thursday at Fred Hoover Field.

SANTA ANA -- Just when you think you've got the Orange Empire Conference figured out ... another week of games throw the experts for a loop. The Orange Coast College baseball team -- left for dead after last week's sweep at the hands of seventh-place Cypress -- have now won two straight over defending state champion Santa Ana with a 9-4 win over the Dons on Thursday at Don Sneddon Field.

COSTA MESA -- Like the immortal John Wayne used to say ... "Ya fall of the horse, ya get right back on, Pilgrim." That was the case for the Orange Coast College baseball team, who shrugged off a heartbreaking loss against Fullerton College two days ago and evened the three-game series with a 7-6 victory over the visiting Hornets on Thursday at John Altobelli Park.

COSTA MESA -- The bats of the Orange Coast College baseball team put up impressive numbers on Saturday, but the performance of Sawyer Spivey topped the list as the Pirates earned a 13-3 Orange Empire Conference win over Riverside City College on Friday at John Altobelli Park.
