HUNTINGTON BEACH -- It was another battle between the Orange Coast College baseball team and the neighbors up the 405 freeway -- Golden West College -- and in the end, the Pirates overcame losing a late lead and claimed a 6-5, 10-inning win over the Rustlers on Thursday at Fred Hoover Field.

The Orange Coast College baseball team -- left for dead after last week's sweep at the hands of seventh-place Cypress -- have now won two straight over defending state champion Santa Ana with a 9-4 win over the Dons on Thursday at Don Sneddon Field.
