Bio

Daniel Falkenstein will be entering his third year as the Passing Game Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach for Orange Coast College.  

Prior to coming to OCC, Coach Falkenstein served as the Wide Receivers Coach, Tight Ends Coach and Special Teams Coordinator at Downey High School(2016-2019), Defensive Backs Coach and Special Teams Coordinator for Pacifica High School (2015), Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach at Godinez High School (2014), Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach at Marina High School (2013) and Defensive Coordinator at Marina High School (2011-2013).  Also, Coach Falkenstein did his Graduate Assistant coaching assignment at Lindenwood University, in St. Charles, MO, where he coached Outside Linebackers.  

Falkenstein is an alumnus of Marina High School (Class of 2004), Carnegie Mellon University (Class of 2009) and Lindenwood University (Class of 2010).   Coach Falkenstein played inside and outside linebacker at Carnegie Mellon University while he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics.  While coaching at Lindenwood University, he received a Masters in Business Administration.

Falkenstein and his wife, Dalise Lindsay Falkenstein, are proud parents of their daughter, Dixie, who is 8, their son, Duke, who is 6 and their dogs, Della and Ollie.

Falkenstein enjoys golfing, playing poker and gaming in his free time. His favorite game is Call of Duty.
