Coast Coaches Corner -- Travis Turner
In this week's Coast Coaches Corner, we shine the spotlight on two-time state champion head coach of the Orange Coast College men's volleyball program, Travis Turner.
For something different, instead of talking with Travis about his legacy and his impact at this school, we decided to let others say a few words on his behalf. So, in a special Zoom interview, we gathered former OCC players who are now assistant coaches and head coaches at the four-year level as well as longtime coaching colleagues who wanted to tell a few "Travis Stories" and share his impact on their lives.
Joining us for this interview ... former Pirate player and current Vanguard University men's volleyball head coach Brad Rostratter, former Pirate player/coach and current assistant coach at Long Beach State University, McKay Smith, former Pirate player and head coach at Ohio State University, Kevin Burch, longtime friend and current head coach at Long Beach State, Alan Knipe and current OCC assistant coach and longtime friend, Mike D'Alessandro.
