Pirates finish ninth overall at SoCal Regionals
SIMI VALLEY -- The Orange Coast College women's golf team wrapped up its 2023 season with a ninth-place finish at the Southern California Reginal Women's Golf Championships on Monday at Simi Hills Golf Club, par-71.
The two-day event, which featured the top 60 women's golfers in Southern California began on Sunday and the Pirates finished the 36-hole event with a team score of 730, shooting a 358 on Day 2, followed by a 372 on Monday.
Cathy Nguyen was OCC's low scorer, shooting an 83-88 for a two-day score of 171.
Just six shots off of Nguyen's pace was DeLylah Collins, who carded an 86-91-177, followed by Coco Fulton (94-94-188), Madison Keawe-Kimball (95-99-194) and Taylor Tuxford (115-106-221).
