Rodriguez earns a trip to the CCCAA State Meet!
FOUNTAIN VALLEY -- Orange Coast College women's cross country runner Jacke Rodriguez took on an elite field of runners at the 2021 CCCAA SoCal Cross Country Championships and the Pirate freshman's hard work paid off in an invitation to Fresno for the upcoming State Meet.
Rodriguez was OCC's lone runner in the 125-runner field and once she found her pace, she never let up and finished the 5K course with a state-qualifying time of 10 minutes, 15.63 seconds, good enough for 15th place overall.
The best of the best throughout the State of California will take part in the California Community College Athletic Association State Cross Country Championships, held at Fresno's Woodward Park, on Saturday, Nov. 20.
