Boudreau, Johnson punch tickets to regionals
HUNTINGTON BEACH -- The Orange Coast College women's cross country duo of Annabelle Boudreau and Whitney Johnson each earned top-15 times at the 2022 Orange Empire Conference Cross Country Championships, hosted by Golden West College, on Friday at Central Park.
Boudreau, who came to OCC after a standout career at Corona del Mar HS, took on a strong field and a tough 5,000-meter course and finished in fifth place with a time of 20 minutes, 43.49 seconds.
As for Johnson, the Mission Viejo HS product was close behind and finished 11th overall with a time of 21:52.69.
With those two solid performances, both Boudreau and Johnson have earned spots to race at the 2022 Southern California Regional Championships, which is set for Friday at 10 a.m. at the Kern Country Soccer Complex in Bakersfield.
