Pirate trio fares well at SD Mesa Invitational
SAN DIEGO -- The Orange Coast College women's cross country trio of Liberty Miller, Jaysi Reyes and Alexis Gilboy made the trek south to compete at the Manny Bautista Cross Country Invitational -- hosted by San Diego Mesa College -- on Friday.
Miller earned a top-15 time in the 126-runner field and finished 14th overall with a 5K time of 20 minutes, 1.44 seconds. Reyes was close behind her OCC teammate and finished 28th with a time of 20:28.57, while Gilboy placed 51st overall with a time of 21:35.11.
The Pirates will return to cross country action on Friday, Oct. 20 at the Cal State Fullerton Titan Invitational, beginning at 5 p.m.
