Hill named OCC's Male Athlete of the Year
COSTA MESA -- Men's water polo player/swimmer Gerrit Hill was named the 2013 Orange Coast College Male Athlete of the Year, as voted on by the head coaches of all 22 sports on campus.
Hill was a first-team, All-Orange Empire Conference selection and a second-team, All-American for the Pirates in water polo this past season.
A team captain for the Pirates, Hill posted 62 goals, 89 assists and 120 steals in 2012.
Hill's talents do not limit him to just water polo. He is currently a standout swimmer for the Pirate swim team.
A true student-athlete for the Pirates, Hill has been a standout in the classroom as well, posting a 3.63 GPA and has applied to UCLA for the 2013 school year.
