SEAL BEACH -- The Orange Coast College men's golf team picked up a nice win on Wednesday at the Navy Golf Course with a tiebreaker win over host Cypress College and an eight-shot win over Riverside City College.

Both the Pirates and the Chargers fired a team score of 366, but the Pirates took the top spot on the sixth-player tiebreaker by one stroke (80-81).

Tetsu Kase led the way for the Pirates after firing a 1-under-par 71. Josh McCollum carded a 73, while three other golfers -- Jeremy Dorff, Myles Valentine and Justin Collins -- each came in with a 74 and Takahito Inoue shot an 80.

The RCC Tigers, who entered Wednesday's event in first place in the Orange Empire Conference, finished in third place with a 374. With the win, OCC now takes over first place with a 9-1 record, followed by Riverside at 8-2.

The Pirates and the rest of the OEC will take over the Tijeras Creek Golf Club on Monday as Saddleback hosts the next conference matchup, beginning at 11:30 a.m.
