CYPRESS -- The Orange Coast College men's soccer team scored early and often en route to a 5-0 Orange Empire Conference win over host Cypress College on Friday afternoon.
Jorge Sanchez scored a pair of goals for Coast (2-3-1, 1-1 in OEC), while single goals were turned in by Jacob Rushing, Brice Manning and Blake Mooney. Assists were turned in by Manning, Glenn Hollingshed (2), Thales Serra and Juan Cabrera.
Nathan Brown earned the shutout win with a four-save performance.
The win snapped a three-match losing streak for the Pirates, while the Chargers dropped to 2-5-2 overall, 0-2 in the OEC.
Coast will return to action on Tuesday at Irvine Valley before returning home to the OCC Soccer Complex on Friday against Golden West. Both matches will begin at 3 p.m.
