Pirates double-up Mt. SAC, 6-3

WALNUT -- The Orange Coast College men's tennis team put on a solid road performance on Friday, topping host Mt. San Antonio, 6-3, on Friday, in a nonconference matchup.

OCC grabbed a 2-1 lead in the matchup with a pair of convincing wins in doubles, led by the duos of Amir Rezaeinezhad/Jie Kashiwagi (8-0) and Luke Godding/Josh Hennig (8-5).

In singles play that same foursome of Pirates earned individual wins! Rezaeinezhad (6-0, 6-4), Hennig (6-0, 6-4) and Godding (6-3, 6-3) picked up straight-set victories, while Kashiwagi needed a tiebreaker to pull out a 6-3, 1-6 (10-6) victory at No. 3 singles. 

The Pirates (7-8) will return to Orange Empire Conference play on Tuesday at home against Irvine Valley College, beginning at 2 p.m.
