Pirates pick up another pair of OEC wins during Saddleback event
MISSION VIEJO -- The Orange Coast College women's golf team continued its steady play with another pair of wins at last week's Orange Empire Conference event, hosted by Saddleback College at Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club.
Coast fired a team score of 365, which was the Pirates' lowest team score of the season, topping the previous-low round of 380, which was accomplished at Diamond Bar Golf Club on Sept. 24 and again on Sept. 17 at Oak Creek Golf Club.
Alexa Barnes was came in with the lowest round for the Pirates after shooting an 85. Close behind was teammates Nicole Jenkins (89), Alisa Irwin (92) and Breanna Gutierrez (99).
Coast will return to action on Wednesday at Palomar College's home course, Twin Oaks Golf Club, beginning at 10 a.m.
