Miller earns top-15 finish at SoCal Preview Meet

LONG BEACH -- Another day, another strong performance for Orange Coast College freshman Liberty Miller as she earned a top-15 finish at the Southern California Regional Preview Meet on Friday at El Dorado East Regional Park.

Going up against the region's best, Miller ran in a 168-woman field and conquered the 5K course in 13th place overall with a time of 19 minutes, 16.2 seconds. Only Riverside's Nadia Munoz (18:48.6) and Saddleback's Payton Love (19:04.7) had a faster time than Miller among Orange Empire Conference runners.

Jaysi Reyes put forth a solid time of 20:26.3, which was good enough for 32nd place, while teammate Maloni Hernandez came in with a time of 30:40.8.

Up next for the Pirates is the Golden West Invitational, which takes place on Friday at Central Park in Huntington Beach, beginning at 9 a.m.
