
Solid performances for Pirate women at Biola Invitational
FULLERTON -- The Orange Coast College women's cross country team took on some top two- and four-year colleges on Friday at the Biola University Invitational and the Pirates did not disappoint with four solid performances.
OCC's sophomore foursome of Liberty Miller, Luna Centeno, Alexis Gilboy and Maloni Hernandez competed in a tough 141-runner race at Craig Park and all four runners put up solid times.
Miller, finished 20th overall with a 5K time of 18 minutes, 15.1 seconds, while Centeno (20:35.2), Gilboy (21:48) and Hernandez (21:57.1) all conquered the course, the elements and the tough field of runners for the Pirates.
Coast will return to action on Friday at the Golden West College Invitational at Central Park in Huntington Beach, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
