Miller's third place paces Pirates to fifth at 3C2A State Meet

FRESNO -- Orange Coast College sophomore runner, Liberty Miller, saved her best performance for last after finishing third overall at the 3C2A Women's Cross Country State Championships on Saturday at Woodward Park, helping her Pirate squad to a fifth-place overall team finish.

Miller, who trailed L.A. Only Clovis' Rhiannon Walker (18:22.9) and Saddleback's Danna Ibarra Canales (18:33.5) crossed the finish line ahead of Miller out of 172 state-qualifying runners.
