Hagger makes a trip to TCU to check out Horned Frog football program

COSTA MESA -- Standout football player Davasyia Hagger headed out to Texas Christian University this past weekend for an official visit and the freshman wide receiver has the Horned Frogs on his radar, according to OCC head football coach Kevin Emerson.

The 6-foot-6, 225-pound Hagger earned first-team, All-SCFA Northern Division, Southern League honors after racking up 43 receptions for 620 yards and six touchdowns. His 43 catches were ninth-best for one season, while his 620 receiving yards were 10th-best all time in the Coast record books.

In addition to his standout football career, Hagger also earned all-conference honors for the OCC men's basketball program, averaging 14.1 points and 8.9 rebounds per game.

"My job at OCC is to prepare our athletes in the classroom and on the field," Emerson said. "This is a testament to Davasyia's work ethic and athletic ability. I am all about hard work paying off. To have him accept an early scholarship is great for him and OCC. I look forward to seeing him play at one of the top football programs in the nation next year."

While Hagger excelled in both sports at OCC, a move to TCU would be for football only. No official announcement has been made by the Horned Frogs, but one will be made in the near future, according to Emerson.
