Pirates take care of business with 8-1 win over Bobcats
MISSION VIEJO -- The Orange Coast College men's tennis team made quick work of its opposition on Tuesday and topped host Saddleback College, 8-1, in an Orange Empire Conference matchup.
For the Pirates (8-3, 2-2 in the OEC), they took 5-of-6 in singles play, with straight-set wins coming from Logan Friedman (6-1, 6-0), Anis Benamar Kerfah (6-1, 6-0), Ryan Magers (6-1, 6-2), Makoto Seike (6-0, 6-0) and Ryan Palaeologus (7-5, 6-2).
It was more of the same on the doubles side of things as OCC swept all three contests, with wins coming from Friedman/Rodriguez (8-6), Benamar Kerfah/Chris Mietkiewicz (8-2) and Magers/Will Davis (8-2).
The Pirates will return home on Thursday and host Fullerton College, beginning at 2 p.m.
