SANTA BARBARA -- The drive was longer than the match for the Orange Coast College men's volleyball team, who headed up the coast and swept Santa Barbara City College in three sets on Wednesday night in a nonconference matchup.
Jordan Hoppe led the Pirates (3-1) with 13 kills, while Justin Kam added 12.
Key contributors for the Pirates off the bench included Zane Moothart, who ripped six kills on seven attempts with zero errors and Brian Diniz, who came through with a pair of big aces.
Setters Colby Elder and Jacob Gilliam each dished out 22 assists.
The Pirates will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at Long Beach City College, beginning at 6 p.m. OCC's next home match will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 22 against Miramar, also at 6 p.m.
