SAN DIEGO -- The Orange Coast College men's volleyball team improved to 6-1 overall with a three-set sweep over host San Diego Mesa College on Friday night in a nonconference matchup.
Jordan Hoppe led the Pirates with 11 kills and eight digs, while Matt Ujkic added eight kills and Justin Kam added seven.
Middle blockers Chris Orem and Bradley Hankus combined for eight kills out of 10 attempts with no errors, while setter Colby Elder added 22 assists to go along with a pair of aces.
Coast returns to the Peterson Gym on Wednesday night to take on Palomar, beginning at 6 p.m.
