Hayes, Burns lead Pirates past Saddleback
MISSION VIEJO -- The Orange Coast College men's water polo team scored early and often en route to a 25-5 Orange Empire Conference win over host Saddleback College on Wednesday.
Coast (8-0, 2-0 in OEC) had seven goals in the first quarter scored by seven different players, showing the depth of the Coast lineup.
The fun continued for OCC in the second quarter en route to a 15-1 halftime lead. From there, Coast kept the foot on the gas pedal and scored 10 more times in the second half.
Trent Hayes and Dylan Burns each had four goals for the Pirates, while Travis Hone and Gabriel John each chipped in three goals.
OCC will return to action on Wednesday at Riverside College, beginning at 2 p.m.
