Pirates overcome six-goal deficit to edge Tigers, 12-11
RIVERSIDE -- The Orange Coast College men's soccer team needed a big-time comeback effort to get the job done against Riverside City College. Mission accomplished for the Pirates as they overcame a six-goal deficit to edge the host Tigers, 12-11, on Wednesday afternoon.
OCC (9-0, 2-0 in Orange Empire Conference), clawed all the way back late in the fourth quarter when Scott Brush tied the match up at 11 with a goal with just 1:37 left.
After a Pirates' stop on defense, they came back down the pool and grabbed the lead when Colby Watson found the back of the net with the game-winning goal with just 48 seconds remaining.
OCC will take next week off but will return to action on Friday at the Riverside College Tournament.
