Heising takes third at OEC heptathlon
COSTA MESA -- Freshman standout Hannah Heising performed well at last weekend's Orange Empire Conference heptathlon, finishing third overall with 3,716 points.
Heising, topped by only Fullerton College's Jasmine Williams (4,581) and Golden West's Elizabeth Cotociu (3,849), won the 200-meter event with a time of 26.43 seconds and finished in the top-three in the 100 hurdles (2nd, 15.97), the javelin (2nd, 77-feet, 11-inches) and the 800 (3rd, 2:33.96).
OCC teammate Michaela Schaeffer finished tied for third in the high jump (4-6 1/4) third in the shot put (27-6), helping her finish fifth overall with 3,289 points.
