Andrew Albers commits to Utah

COSTA MESA -- Standout offensive lineman Andrew Albers will be making a return trip to the University of Utah after two solid seasons at Orange Coast, according to head coach Mike Taylor.

After transferring to Coast from the Utes in 2011, Albers became a mainstay on the Pirates' offensive line. The 6-foot-8, 295-pound sophomore from Costa Mesa HS helped Coast generate two of the most productive rushing seasons in school history.

After helping Domenic Betts set a new school record in lead all backs in California in 2011, Albers helped pave the way for Coast running backs to total nearly 1,300 yards of rushing offense and 13 touchdowns in 2012.

His strong play did not go unnoticed as Albers was chosen as a second-team, All-Southern Conference selection this past season for the Pirates.
