FULLERTON -- The Orange Coast College men's water polo team cruised to a 32-5 win over host Fullerton College on Wednesday in the Orange Empire Conference finale for both teams.
With the win, the Pirates improve to 17-8 overall and 3-2 in the OEC, two games behind champion Golden West and one behind runner-up Saddleback.
Griffin Likins had six goals to lead the way for the Pirates, while Brenden Bellavia, Sean Tannehill, Julien Cassell-Cornet and Caden Carpenter each added four goals. Goalie Dariush Kashani notched 14 saves and kept the Hornets off the scoreboard until late in the third quarter, after the match was well out of hand.
Coast will wrap up the regular season at home against Riptide on Wednesday, beginning at 7 p.m.
