OCC's Lewis shoots a two-round, 172 at CCCAA State Championships

MORRO BAY -- Orange Coast College freshman golfer Emily Lewis capped off a solid first year with the Pirate golf program after shooting a two-round total of 172 at the California Community College Athletic Association State Women's Golf Championships, held Sunday and Monday at the Morro Bay Golf Course, par 72.

Lewis stayed consistent throughout the 36-hole event and opened things with an 84 on Sunday, before following that up with an 88 on Monday.

Santa Barbara's Carolin Chang won the individual state title with a two-round score of 151 (76-75). Her SBCC team also took home the state championship after shooting a team score of 655, 27 shots better than runner-up Citrus College (682).
