Pirates pick up solid 2-1 road win at Santa Ana

SANTA ANA -- The Orange Coast College women's soccer team made the quick trek to Santa Ana College and came home with a 2-1 Orange Empire Conference road win over the Dons on Tuesday at SAC.

Stephanie Serrato collected both goals for the Pirates (5-3-2 overall, 3-0 in the OEC), with assists turned in by Clarissa Sullivan and Kennedy Heimer.

In goal, Leila Saldic picked up four saves, while SAC's Noemi Reyes allowed two goals with four saves.

Both teams traded first half goals, with the Pirates scoring first in the 12 minute and the Dons (1-5-2, 0-3-0) occurring in the 28th minute.

Nine minutes into the second half, Serrato beat Reyes and found the back of the net for the eventual winning goal.

After starting the season 1-3-2, Coast has turned things around with four straight wins, including three straight to start the OEC campaign.

Coast will return to action on Friday at the OCC Soccer Complex against Cypress College, beginning at 3 p.m.
