Poston's 19 points lead Pirates past Chargers
CYPRESS -- Spencer Poston had 19 points to lead the Orange Coast College men's basketball team to an 83-75 Orange Empire Conference win at Cypress College on Wednesday night.
Daniel Dedeaux added 11 points and nine rebounds for the Pirates (10-10, 1-4 OEC), while Jo Jo Trinidad came off of the bench to provide 11 points.
Trinidad and Poston hit a combined five 3-pointers as the Pirates drained nine total.
Cypress (5-16, 0-5) was led offensively by Daveon Thomas with 19 points. Montel Taylor added 17 points, while Davon Potts chipped 15 and Christ Kapono tossed in 14.
OCC will return to action on Friday at Fullerton College, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Coast's next home game will be on Friday, Feb. 1 for "Coaches vs. Cancer Night" against Saddleback, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
