Pirate men finish 10th at Titan Invitational

FULLERTON -- The Orange Coast College men's cross country team took on another star-studded field of two- and four-year runners and finished 10th overall at the 2018 Cal State Fullerton Titan Invitational on Friday.

The Pirates wrapped up a 10th-place team mark of 229 points in a race that featured teams from Loyola Marymount, Western New Mexico, Chapman University, Biola and CSUF, among others.

Esteban Prado was the top runner for the Pirates, conquering the 8,000-meter course with a time of 26 minutes, 50.9 seconds.

Other top OCC runners included Jordan Knoblock (26:58.9), Oscar Gatica (27:00.0), Justin Dominguez (27:22.9), Myles Aguilar (27:27.8), Adam Angel (28:11.8), Jesus Orbe (29:07.7), Anthony Osorio (29:09.7), Sebastian Chavez (29:38.8), Josiah MacFarland (29:42.7), Tanner Grohmann (29:44.1), Jacob Skytte (30:17.3), Mateo Nicanor (30:22.6) and Louis Wai-Choon (30:29.6). 

With a successful season in the rearview mirror, the Pirates are now set to take on the rest of the Orange Empire Conference at the 2018 OEC Championships, hosted by Riverside City College, on Friday, beginning at 9 a.m.
