Pirate softball rolls past L.A. Pierce, 9-1

WOODLAND HILLS -- Led by a pair of home runs by Natalie Bramlett and Bailey Blair, the Orange Coast College softball team picked up a 9-1, six-inning win over host L.A. Pierce College on Monday afternoon.

Coast pounded out eight hits, including Bramlett and Blair's two-run shots. Blair finished 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI, while Ariel Fernandez added two hits, two runs and two stolen bases.

The nine runs were more than enough for sophomore pitcher Kellie Tiner, who went the distance and allowed just one run on two hits with two walks and 10 strikeouts.

The Pirates will return to Orange Empire Conference action on Wednesday at Cypress College, beginning at 3 p.m. OCC's next home game will be on Wednesday, March 25 against Fullerton, also at 3 p.m.
