Arnett set to continue career at Menlo College

COSTA MESA -- Orange Coast College women's basketball player Jenna Arnett will be continuing her athletic and academic careers at Menlo College, according to OCC head coach Mike Thornton.

As a sophomore last year, Arnett led the Pirates in rebounding with 212 (7.9 per game) and finished third on the team with 231 points (8.6 per game).

Her strong play on both sides of the floor earned Arnett second-team, All-Orange Empire Conference honors for the Pirates last year. Her best game came on Feb. 8 against Santa Ana when she scored 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in OCC's 77-57 win over the Dons.

As a freshman, the 5-foot-10, forward from Laguna Hills HS averaged 7.5 points and 6.1 rebounds and led OCC with 19 blocked shots.

Menlo College is a NAIA school based out of Atherton, CA with a student enrollment of 650. The Oaks compete in the California Pacific Conference and last season, their women's basketball program finished 26-4 overall, and a conference-best 10-0 in the CPC.

Menlo, which finished the season ranked 24th in the nation, advanced to the NAIA National Tournament before losing in the opening round to Jamestown College.
