MISSION VIEJO -- The Orange Coast College women's water polo team, ranked No. 2 in the state, wrapped up the Orange Empire Conference regular season title with a 14-4 win over host Saddleback College on Wednesday afternoon.
The Pirates (22-4 overall, 6-0 in the OEC), were led by the state's goal-scoring leader, Bailey Lloyd, who paced the offense with nine goals and added four assists.
Brooke Branum added two goals, while single goals were tossed in by Lilli Lindgard, Taylor Brown and Allison Williams.
In goal, Avery Goodall kept up her stellar play with 14 saves to go along with four assists.
OCC will kick off postseason action on Friday at Cypress College at the Orange Empire Conference Water Polo Championships. Times and opponents are to be announced soon.
