Brown, Mooney selected first-team, All-OEC

COSTA MESA -- A pair of Orange Coast College men's soccer players earned first-team, All-Orange Empire Conference honors for their outstanding play, while two other Pirates earned second-team honors at this year's postseason conference meeting.

Sophomore goalkeeper Nathan Brown and midfielder Blake Mooney earned first-team honors, while sophomore defender Marco Randozzo and freshman forward Carlos Valencia earned second-team selections.

Brown, last year's Orange Empire Conference co-MVP, continued his dominant play for the Pirates, allowing just 20 goals in 20 matches this year to go along with 138 saves and six shutouts.

Mooney, OCC's most versatile player in 2014, paced the offense with five assists, while playing a share of this time in all sections of the Pirate lineup. This is his second straight, first-team, all-conference selection.

Randozzo was one of the most steady defenders for the Pirates, helping to hold the opposition to just one goal per game, while scoring a goal himself.

Valencia was OCC's team leader in points as a freshman with 13 (five goals and three assists).
