RIVERSIDE -- The Orange Coast College women's tennis team continues to roll over its competition with an 8-1 Orange Empire Conference win over Riverside City College on Tuesday.

The Pirates (15-1, 8-0 in OEC), winners of 10 straight, swept through the Tigers in singles play, highlighted with a tiebreaker win at No. 2 singles by Jo Ann Taylor, who defeated RCC's Heather Graf, 6-7, 6-1 (10-1).

Other singles wins, all straight-set triumphs, came from Mira Inoue (6-3, 6-1), Camryn Mason (6-3, 6-1), Sara Le Boulenge (6-2, 6-2), Claire Boettcher (6-1, 6-2) and Emily Fujita (6-0, 6-1).

In doubles play, OCC took 2-of-3 from the Tigers, with wins coming from the teams of Taylor/Le Boulenge (8-2) and Boettcher/Fujita (8-5).

The win, which puts Coast 2 1/2 matches up on second-place Irvine Valley, all but assures the Pirates of their third consecutive OEC title. OCC has two matches remaining, while the Lasers have three.

Coast will return to action on Tuesday, April 3 at Fullerton College (2 p.m.) before wrapping up the regular season at home against Saddleback on Thursday, April 5 (2 p.m.).
