Pirates keep winning, top Saddleback, 6-3
MISSION VIEJO -- The Orange Coast College women's tennis team continued its winning ways on Tuesday with a 6-3 Orange Empire Conference win at Saddleback College.
Coast (5-0, 2-0 in OEC) jumped out to a 4-2 lead in singles, thanks to straight-set wins by Haley Dickson (6-4, 6-2), Nadine Baquiran (7-6, 6-3), Mai Hashimoto (6-4, 6-2) and Sydney Farzadkish (6-2, 6-1).
In doubles, the Pirates took 2-of-3 with wins coming from Dickson/Nikky Thornburg (8-2) and Baquiran/Hashimoto (8-2).
The Pirates will return to action on Thursday at home against Fullerton, beginning at 2 p.m.
