Pirates take care of business, sweep past Hawks

ORANGE -- Ten different players found offensive success for the Orange Coast College women's volleyball team in Friday night's three-set sweep over host Santiago Canyon.

Aubrey St. Laurent had eight kills, while Devyn Holland added five kills to go along with 20 assists as the Pirates (14-4, 6-3 in Orange Empire Conference) cruised to a 25-16, 25-17, 25-20 win over the Hawks (3-13, 0-10).

Evelyn Awai also contributed five kills, while Alibelle Pilimai added four for Coast. On defense, the Pirates came up big as Sierra Lim led the way with 20 digs, followed by Rylee Adair (18 digs), Holland (15 digs) and Awai (11 digs).

Coast will wrap up its four-match road "trip" at Cypress College on Wednesday night, beginning at 6 p.m. OCC's next home match will be on Friday against Riverside, also at 6 p.m.
