Pirates roll past Olympians, 6-1

SAN DIEGO -- The Orange Coast College men's soccer team used a four-goal first half on the road to defeat San Diego Mesa College, 6-1, on Wednesday, in a nonconference matchup.
 
After scoring just three goals throughout their first three games, the Pirates (2-2-1) have come alive with 13 goals over their last two contests.
 
Leading the way again was sophomore Brandon Bauman, who had a goal and four assists, while Chase Nugent and Jorge Sanchez each added two goals and Baji Chela added one.
 
Patrik Haley and Glenn Hollingshed each earned an assist, while goalkeeper Connor Nelson notched three saves for the win.
 
The Pirates will return to action on Friday at El Camino College, beginning at 2 p.m. Their next home matchup will be on Tuesday against Orange Empire Conference rival Santiago Canyon, beginning at 3 p.m.
