Coast posts 3-0 shutout over Dons
SANTA ANA -- Courtney Garrity scored a pair of goals to lead the Orange Coast College women's soccer team to a 3-0 win at Santa Ana College on Tuesday in an Orange Empire Conference matchup.
Emma Pridmore added a goal and an assist for the Pirates (13-3, 9-3 in OEC), while assists were turned in my Anmarie Moreno and Kiley Leshin.
After several near misses, the Pirates finally found the back of the net when Garrity took a shot off a mishandled clearout by the Dons' defender in the 40th minute, putting OCC up for good.
In the 55th minute, Pridmore fed a quick pass off a free kick to Garrity for her second tally of the afternoon and in the 68th minute, Pridmore took a pass from Leshin and scored the Pirates' third goal of the game.
Goalkeeper Kate O'Banion notched four saves for the shutout win.
With the loss, the Dons fall to 3-12-2, 2-8-2 in conference.
OCC will return to action on Friday at home against Saddleback, beginning at 3 p.m.
