Pirates rout Hornets, 10-0
FULLERTON -- The goals came early and often for the Orange Coast College women's soccer team in Friday's 10-0 road win over Fullerton College.
OCC (15-3 overall, 11-3 in Orange Empire Conference), scored in the game's first minute of play and never looked back. The Pirates tacked on seven more goals in the first half before tacking on two more in the second half.
Sara Gomez had three goals to lead OCC, while Jessica Amaral added a goal and three assists.
Madeline Edwards and Sarah MacArthur each came up with a goal and an assist, while single goals were turned in by Laruen Zepeda, Michaela Rand, Emma Pridmore and Natalie Seroka.
Assists were added by Helen Guillen, Kelsey McKay, Caitlin Padian, Kiley Leshin and Devin Broederlow.
Goalkeepers Kate O'Banion and Emily Harrier each played 45 minutes and each notched two saves for the Pirates, who return to action on Tuesday at Golden West College, beginning at 6 p.m.
