SANTA ANA -- Jasmine Matar and Raechelle Davis each had 21 points to lead the Orange Coast College women's basketball team to a 71-62 Orange Empire Conference win over host Santa Ana College on Wednesday night.
Davis, who scored her points on 8-of-12 shooting from the floor and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free-throw line, also pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds and notched a pair of blocks.
Matar added seven rebounds and a game-high five steals for the Pirates (11-9, 2-2 in the OEC).
Dayanara Armenta added 16 points, while Chanelle DiCroce chipped in 10 points, eight rebounds and five assists for Coast.
Jazmine Johnson and Ashley Whisler each scored 21 points to lead the Dons (11-9, 1-3), but the rest of the SAC squad was held to just 8-of-34 from the floor (23.5 percent).
OCC will return to action on Friday at Fullerton College, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
