NORCO -- The Orange Coast College women's soccer team braved the warm elements and posted a 3-0 win over host Norco College on Tuesday in an Orange Empire Conference matchup.
Coast (5-4-3, 4-2-2 in Orange Empire Conference) battled to a scoreless draw for most of the first half with the Mustangs (2-10-0, 0-8-0) before Sydnee Busby found the back of the net off a pass from Ana Villanueva in the 44th minute, putting the Pirates ahead for good.
Emily Malec picked up OCC's second goal in the 73rd minute before Cori Haney closed out the scoring with a goal in the 89th minute.
Villanueva earned three assists in the win for OCC, while goalie Odalis Elias saw limited action and picked up one save in the shutout win.
Coast returns to action on Friday at home against Saddleback at 7 p.m. under the lights at LeBard Stadium.
